Camogli is a charming Italian fishing village located on the Italian Riviera, near the famous cities of Portofino and Genoa. The city is home to the Rari Nantes Camogli Water Polo club and boasts some of the strongest youth teams in the world, both male and female. The pool in Camogli is located inside a beautiful sports facility that is walking distance from the beaches and local hotels. It also features a retractable roof that is pulled back in summer and covered in the winter. Cassie & Stefano Azevedo Maggiolo personally run all trips to this destination. Meals will be served at their family-run restaurant, Jacks.
Kotor is a stunning coastal city located on a beautiful bay in northern Montenegro. The city is home to the world famous water polo club Primorac, which was founded in 1903. The pool in Kotor is located one block from the water and walking distance from the cozy Old Town, surrounded by castle walls. There is also a water polo pool built right into the freshwater bay that is used for games and training during the summer months. Coach Damir Matanovic personally runs and oversees all of the trips to this region.
Šipan Island (17 km off the coast of Dubrovnik) is the largest and most ecologically diverse island of the Elaphite archipelago. Covered in olive and fig trees, vineyards and citrus groves, Sipan is famous for its wine and for its delightfully laid-back ambiance. Water polo courses are set up in the protected harbors, and the region’s best youth teams flock to play and train here at various tournaments and events. Croatian Olympian, Gold Medalist and longtime JUG Dubrovnik water polo star Niksa Dobud will host and coach the program in this region. Each clinic will also feature guest coaches from around the world.
Budapest is the mecca of water polo in Europe and home to some of the greatest clubs and players in the world. Azevedo Water Polo is proud to announce the development of its new training program that will take place during World Championships from July 14-30, 2017. We will personalize complete packages for teams and individuals for between 10 days to 3 week intervals over the World Championship period. The package will include training with local youth teams (some of the best in the world), private clinics with 3x Olympic Gold Medalist and legend Gergely Kiss, exclusive tickets to World Championship games, plus scrimmages, sightseeing and much more. Shanghai is a world-class city located on the Yangtze River Delta in eastern China. The city is a booming tourist destination and famous for landmarks such as the City God Temple and YuYuan Garden. It is also home to the Shanghai Water Polo Club, which trains out of a state-of-the-art pool and sports facility. Water polo is rapidly increasing in popularity in China and making its way onto the global scene.
